What does "An action can not be defined over multiple portfolios. Check accounts." mean?
If you are receiving an error message that reads "An action can not be defined over multiple portfolios. Check accounts.", this means that you are attempting to create or update a trade with multiple legs (transactions) and these legs are requested to be booked into accounts under different portfolios.
This is a violation of a system constraint as:
- It does not make sense from the accounting duality perspective, and
- It is error prone for the end-users.
If you are trying to perform a transfer, we advise you to transfer-out funds from one portfolio and transfer-in funds to the other portfolio.
