Flushing Accounts

There are situations where you may want to delete all trades and, consequently, all transactions associated with an account.

DECAF does not allow ordinary users to perform such bulk deletions. However, privileged users (superusers, administrators and supervisors) can flush an account. Flushing an account deletes all trades and transactions related to that account.

This operation is available on the account detail page under Account Operations. After clicking the Flush button and confirming the action, all trades and transactions associated with the account will be removed.

Flushing an account does not delete the account itself. The account will continue to exist, but it will be empty and contain no trades or transactions.

Note that trades and actions which also involve other accounts will be deleted as well, since they are related to the account being flushed. For example, a transfer action involving both the flushed account and another account will be deleted in its entirety. This behavior also applies to full journal entries.

Finally, this operation is irreversible. All data related to the account will be permanently deleted. Use this operation with caution.
