DECAF Cafelatte Release v1.0.0

We are pleased to announce the new DECAF Cafelatte Release versioned as v1.0.0.

Background

DECAF System consists of some backend engines and a few frontend interfaces.

DECAF Cafelatte is currently the frontend interface for our power users. Such users are usually organisation members and carry day-to-day activities with the help of DECAF.

Over the last year, we have been working on a new version of DECAF Cafelatte to make it more modern and user friendly. At the same time, we are helping ourselves, too, by making it easier to further enhance DECAF Cafelatte, therefore to provide more value added services to your organisation.

What This Means To You

You will face a revamped DECAF Cafelatte that looks nicer and has lot’s of improvements in terms of user experience.

Most importantly, we will be able to offer enhancements and fixes on the new DECAF Cafelatte much faster and with more confidence.

Such undertakings are usually tedious and cumbersome from a development and testing perspective.

But they are more so when our users are used to a certain interface (as in page layout and look&feel) and we suddenly change the interface which makes it difficult to locate information and functionality the way they used to do before.

Therefore, we have paid extra attention to keep the menu and page layouts the same as in the old (current) version. The look&feel has changed, but this should not pose a threat to our users: We promise you that you will not face an alien DECAF Cafelatte.

To test this promise, we have launched upcoming DECAF Cafelatte for 3 of our existing client institutions with their consent. The feedback has been positive. They also helped us to fix issues here and there (Kudos to them).
